Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: 2026-05-27
Some links on Quvii earn us a commission when you click through and buy. This page tells you which programs we participate in, how to identify an affiliate link, and how we keep recommendations honest.
What we participate in
- Amazon Associates (Associate ID
jeffzen911-20). When we recommend a security camera in a review or buying guide, we link to it on Amazon. If you buy through that link, Amazon pays Quvii a small percentage. The price you pay is the same as if you'd gone to Amazon directly. - Google AdSense (Publisher ID
pub-5523706123080113). We run a small number of display ads on content pages. Ad placement is automated by Google; we never sell direct ad inventory to manufacturers covered on this site, which would create an obvious conflict.
We do not currently participate in any other affiliate program. If that changes, this page is updated and the change is logged in the "Last updated" date at the top.
How to spot an affiliate link
-
The link tag carries
rel="sponsored noopener nofollow"— the FTC + Google standard for paid placements at the HTML level. -
The destination URL contains our Amazon Associate ID
(
tag=jeffzen911-20). Hover over any "Check on Amazon" button and look at your browser's status bar before clicking. - Articles with affiliate links display a yellow "Affiliate disclosure" banner at the top of the page (this same text, summarized).
Editorial independence
Our Amazon commission rate (typically 2–4% of purchase price) is the same percentage across compared products within a category. That means we earn the same whether we put Product A or Product B at #1. The ranking is editorial, not financial.
What we won't do, regardless of commission rate:
- Recommend a product we wouldn't install in our own home.
- Hide cons. Every recommended product gets specific weaknesses called out.
- Re-order rankings in exchange for a higher commission tier.
- Publish a manufacturer's press release as if it were a review.
What if I don't want to use an affiliate link?
Totally fine. Go to amazon.com directly and search for the product name. The price is identical, you skip the cookie, and Quvii doesn't earn anything from your purchase. We'd still rather you came through us — the writing has to earn its keep — but we won't penalize you for opting out.
AdSense + ads.txt
Our ads.txt file at /ads.txt
lists every ad network we authorize to sell our display inventory.
This is the IAB standard for preventing ad fraud — manufacturers
can't impersonate us to push ad placement that benefits them. If you
ever see an ad on Quvii from a network NOT listed in our ads.txt,
let us know.
FTC required statement
"As an Amazon Associate, Quvii earns from qualifying purchases."
